Clare Bethell joined the High Finance Group Actuarial team in 2009, specialising in Life Insurance. Clare trained as a Chartered Accountant at PwC, within the Insurance and Investment Management Division, working with major life insurance companies including Windsor Life and Swiss Re. From here Clare was seconded to Australia and worked for PwC in their Sydney offices before moving into recruitment.

Clare joined an insurance and banking recruitment specialist in Sydney where she established the Chartered Accounting division. She recruited all levels from graduate through to director, working in Professional Services from one partner firms to the Big 4. In 2008 with the support of SMF Recruitment in Australia Clare established Destination Recruitment, specialising in the recruitment of qualified accountants to work overseas.

As a consultant Clare has strong industry knowledge, an excellent international network of contacts, a professional, diligent work ethic and an approachable manner. She expects to go the extra mile in assisting clients and candidates in order to find the right person or position.

Clare holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from Newcastle University, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).

In her spare time Clare enjoys all equestrian sports, especially horse racing as well as running, travelling and trekking.
