Cricket Report: HFG v KPMG
High Finance Group played cricket against KPMG on Thursday 4th March in Canary Wharf. After much hype and excitement KPMG won the toss and put HFG into bat. Lockwood and Bird got the innings off to a flying start dispatching the opening bowlers to all parts of the ground. The innings stuttered during the middle phase with some tight bowling but some quick singles from Brown and Blaize got HFG to a defendable 95 in their 8 overs.
KPMG started their innings quickly but were pegged back by some tight bowling from Vidal, Rogers and Braidwood during the middle overs. Some sloppy fielding and a dropped catch let them back into the game and HFG required a wicket off the last ball to win. Unfortunately the fierce reverse swing off the final ball was too much for both batsman and umpire and was signalled a wide, leading to jubilant celebrations from KPMG and their captain Seechran.
