Have Aviva Done Enough?

02-12-2011

High Finance Group was interested to read an article in the Telegraph about the changes Aviva has been making in the UK insurance market. The article details the differences between Prudential and Aviva since 2006 and speculates on how Aviva's first half profits will appear when they are published this week.

With Prudential focusing on the Asian market, Aviva has chosen to concentrate its focus upon Europe. With particular attention to the UK market, as it is now the only company still offering life, general and health insurance.

Having completed a re-brand from Norwich Union to Aviva, Mark Hodges (UK Chief Executive) and Andrew Moss (Aviva's Chief Executive) are hoping their hard work has paid off and their first half results due to be released at the end of this week reflect this.

Prudential on the other hand is facing an uncertain future having had their recent offer for AIG's Asian business rebuked.
These two companies have gone in very different directions since 2006, and so it's almost impossible to guess what the future holds for them...let's wait and see!
